International Conference on Electrical Machines, now in its 19th edition, has established itself as an influential and recognised international event and is the only major conference entirely devoted to electrical machines where the community of specialists discusses the progress achieved and the future developments in technologies, analysis, design, testing, operations, practical applications, maintenance and teaching in the field of electrical machines.
Started in London in 1974, ICEM is now established as a regular
biannual event. Very successful Conferences were held in Helsinki (Finland) in 2000, Bruges (Belgium) in 2002, Cracow (Poland) in 2004, Chania (Greece) in 2006 and Vilamoura (Portugal) in 2008.
It is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Power Electronics Society, IEEE Industrial Application Society and IEEE Power & Energy Society.
In order to keep the scientific high quality of the past ICEM editions papers, the following issues have been confirmed or established for the 2010 edition:
o only full provisional papers may be submitted for evaluation;
o IEEE Copyright Form and ICEM Statement of Originality will be received
for each paper;
o an On-line Conference Paper Submission System will be adopted;
o each paper will be reviewed by at least 2 referees;
o topics are arranged in tracks, each one having at least two co-chairs to
manage the reviewing process;
o Special Sessions will be organized;
o all accepted papers will be included in the IEEE Xplore data base;
o four awards will be conferred:
* ICEM Best Paper Award
* ICEM Best Poster Presentation Award
* ICEM Arthur Ellison Achievement Award
* ICEM Distinguished Service Award
